Rahul holds a BSc in Geophysics- Electrical Eng., an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS in Finance from the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. Rahul has had a successful career at Goldman Sachs, NRG, and others, with a focus on project finance, development, and due diligence, and also worked as a geophysicist at Oilfield services co. Schlumberger

Shazim is a business leader with over 20 years’ experience in renewable energy project development, corporate strategy and operations, and technology investing. His global business experience spans the US, Asia and Africa and includes the successful turnaround of two businesses.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of the solar project development value chain: business development, site control, interfacing with utilities for IX, permitting, deployment, off-take & asset management.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Frank Hopkins is a land use professional with over ten years of local government experience. He most recently served as the Planning Director for Powhatan County where he oversaw the planning department and advised local elected leaders on land policies. Frank has worked on complex conditional use permit applications, including utility-scale solar, and has a talent for communicating difficult material to elected boards. Prior to being Planning Director, Frank served the City of Winchester as their Zoning Administrator where he frequently amended their zoning ordinance to assist economic development in attracting new business to the city. Frank brings with him a deep knowledge of Virginia land use policy and is a lifelong resident of the state where he has lived in Northern Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley, Hampton Roads, and now Richmond. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from James Madison University where he studied public management as well as environmental policy. When he is not working, Frank spends most of his time with his wife raising their two daughters.
